A CONTEMPORARY HOME RENOVATION
Located in Willow Glen, California, this complete home renovation included custom designs and a myriad of details -- all without changing the structure of the house.
THE MAJESTIC ENTRY
OUR GOAL: Take a beautiful entryway and make it grandiose
Winding paths are great for fairytale stories and woodland journeys. But a straight brick pathway direct to the front door is a bold statement -- like walking down the aisle to meet royalty.
THE OPEN LIVING & DINING ROOM
OUR GOAL: Keep things comfortable but open it all up
We built the living room to be ultra comfy and added the new accordion patio door that opens it all up to natural light and the afternoon breeze. For the dining room, we relocated the fireplace, and added a custom entertainment center.
THE SIMPLIFIED KITCHEN
OUR GOAL: Declutter and modernize while letting in more natural light
Because the kitchen is the central hub of the home, we wanted to brighten it up but still add storage space with new custom cabinetry and appliances with custom modifications. The pristine white now gives the kitchen a lighter, cleaner look.
THE ELEGANT DOWNSTAIRS BATH
OUR GOAL: Provide elegance to an intimate place
How do you transform one of the busiest rooms into an elegant statement? You begin with new tilework on the walls and penny tiles for the flooring. Then you add a bold shower door, toilet seat cover, and vanity. Finally, you bring in the marble counter.
THE BRIGHTER MASTER BATH
OUR GOAL: Make it brighter, lighter, more expansive
Just as with the kitchen, the mandate was to bring in natural light and make the bathroom brighter. To that end, we removed the spa, replacing it with a freestanding tub and new floor tiles. Fun fact: we had to lift the tub into place with a crane!
