A MODERN IMMACULATE REMODEL

This 1940s home was dark, cramped, and lacked storage and work surfaces for the kitchen. With that challenge in mind, we tore down walls and refashioned the kitchen and dining areas so our clients could entertain guests and maximize their living space. The result is an immaculate home that fits the modern California lifestyle.

FREED UP KITCHEN

OUR GOAL: Rebuild the kitchen for optimum flow

Faced with tight space and a fridge in the middle, we tore down the wall between the kitchen and living room. This freed up some much-needed space and maximized the flow in the room.

MODERNIZED STORAGE & SURFACES

OUR GOAL: Create ample storage and work areas

Our clients needed more surfaces for food prep and dining. Solution: the island. Plus lots of storage: roll-out shelves, an appliance lift for the mixer, and floating shelves to keep things open.

PRISTINE HALL BATHROOM

OUR GOAL: Brighten without minimizing

Originally the only bathroom in the home, this room was brightened up using reflective materials and a fun floor tile pattern. Best of all, minimizing the bath made the adjacent bedroom more spacious.

ELEGANT MASTER BATH

OUR GOAL: Make it more lively

This space was carved out of the existing master bedroom so it was already small but efficient. We simply redesigned it with a fun pop of emerald tile to match the island in the kitchen. And made the shower more spacious, with a niche and shower bench.

Finally, adjacent to the living room and bar is the laundry closet. Since maximizing the living space was the priority we moved the original laundry room into a closet hidden by a striking barn door.
