AN EXQUISITE TOWNHOME REMODEL

Sometimes even a dream townhome needs some streamlining to transform it into a functional home. That’s what we did for this fixer-upper in San Mateo, California.

THE KITCHEN, STREAMLINED

OUR GOAL: Create a space that is functional and beautiful.

We totally redesigned their kitchen layout, relocating their washer and dryer from the kitchen to upstairs. This gave them a longer kitchen with more countertop and cabinet space. We installed prefabricated cabinets and came up with creative solutions for narrow cabinet spaces.

LIVING AREA, BRIGHTENED

OUR GOAL: Give the living room an open, cozy feel.

From the choice of hardwood flooring to the fireplace mantel and wall paint, the idea here was to brighten this space and make it refreshing to be in.

WINDOW NOOK, DECLUTTERED

OUR GOAL: Clean up the window nook while letting in more natural light.

Sometimes the choice between curtains and blinds is simple. Our clients wanted to maximize the unique window area in the master bedroom, and blinds did the job while still providing privacy.

MASTER BATHROOM, COLORIZED

OUR GOAL: Provide boldness in the home's most intimate room.

The choice of nautical blue for the walls gives the master bath a bold splash of color that complements the clean white lines. And it’s the color of the ocean.
